SCC HOSA success

For the second year in a row, our state HOSA competition had to be in a virtual format but SCC was able to rise to the challenge!

 

19 students competed with the following results.

 

First Place – Home Health Aide

– Elizabeth Ball from South Dearborn High School. She will receive two scholarship offers from this placing. The first one is from IVY Tech for 15 credit hours for 3 consecutive terms and the second one is from Sullivan University for $12,000 spread out over 6 quarters.

 

Second Place – Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking

– Megan Henney from Jennings County High School

 

Third Place – Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking

– Kiara Owens from JCD High School

 

These 3 students are eligible to participate in the National HOSA competition in June which will also be virtual.

Southeastern Career Center HOSA was represented very well at the State competition!

 

Megan Henney was the recipient of an $8,000 scholarship to Sullivan University and Kiara Owens was a recipient of a $4000 scholarship to Sullivan
